You may have already read on our job page that Level27 is not your average employer. And who better to tell you about it than our own employees? In this blog, we let Silke have her say.

Fulfilled expectations

In the summer of 2023, I started my first day at Level27. Without any IT knowledge and in an office filled with men, I was definitely in the minority as a woman and a non-techie. The reason why Level27 initially attracted me was the organization's image. A modern, beautiful office in the heart of Hasselt. A young team, active social media presence, values that I personally hold dear, and creative (video) job advertisements. It worked! But what you expect from a company beforehand is not always the reality. So, what made the hours, days, weeks, and months fly by? Well, working at Level27 is fun ;-)

Continuous growth and improvement

Over the past few years, Level27 has grown into a team of 20 employees, including our super cute company dog, Fellow. At the end of last year, we were honored to be chosen as the Limburg SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) of the year by Unizo. This recognition of our vision and the journey we have undertaken serves as a tremendous motivation to strive for even greater success in the future. At Level27, employees are given ample space for personal growth, although the right assertiveness and ambition are certainly required. In other words, there are numerous opportunities in a company where possibilities are endless, but you must seize them!

No bullshit

One of the key values we uphold with our clients also plays a significant role internally. We all strive to improve in what we do and move the organization forward. This process often involves trial and error. That's why clear communication is crucial. We maintain an open and honest environment because it's the most productive way of working. Sometimes, we may not enjoy it, but mostly we appreciate the straightforward approach. We are proactive and action-oriented, and we embrace a hands-on mentality.

Young team (at heart) ;-)

Lastly, it's incredibly enjoyable to work in a young team every day. Most of us are young in age, while others are young at heart. ;-) In any case, we share many interests. Whether it's indulging in fast food and ice cream or belting out Whitney Houston songs on a busy support day, we find ways to connect. Political discussions with a touch of irony brighten up our lunch breaks. And when things get a little too serious, a quote taken completely out of context will undoubtedly bring some laughter. Work pressure and stress may occasionally heat up the atmosphere, but nothing that an Aperol Spritz, Vedett beer, or Gin and Tonic on a Friday afternoon can't fix. "Work hard, play hard" may be a cliché, but it rings true. In the end, we're all just a big group of friends.
